A breath-giving moment

As I sit to morning prayer,

 this is what I see.

And I am grateful for the breath

 of beauty set before me.

It's just a tree. It's just snow.

It's just a sky of blue.

It's just a breath-giving moment of peace

I wanted to share with you.

This is life. This moment, this time

this scene of chilly grace.

This is the world where I choose to reside -

This beautiful, happy place.
