 Life in Runes Live Reading

I'll admit it. It was a little disconcerting, not to mention frustrating, to be set up for a rune reading (Finally!) and to come up with No Rune.

I always wonder if people believe that No Rune is really a Rune Reading.

But that is just rude to the runes. And I apologize. And to the people who are reading this. I apologize to you too.

But No Rune is a nebulous reading. Because it means more than just "The Future is hazy. Try again tomorrow." (in fact, that's another rune all together.)  No Rune means, there is no one single word of advice, no specific tool, no map that will cover all the situations, thoughts, needs that we, as a general group of people will be facing.

In fact, it turns out, today No Rune means there is no one single tool that can cover all the moments of truth individually.

It is time to be practicing not just one aspect or another of our talents, skills, jobs, perceptions. It is time to practice them all.

Like a bird who is constantly checking the position of his wings and tail against the wind...
Like a fish who is flowing with the current...
Like a plant who takes the weather and animals and human interaction as it comes and adjusts...
So too shall we be. Treating each moment as it's own situation, as it's own event, as it's own truth. And applying the tools and perceptions that are needed FOR THAT MOMENT.

We are dancing. We are flying. We are swimming. We are growing. Every moment we are new.

LIR 011817 - GeboR off the mat

Balance, fairness, energy flow? What would you like it to be, really?

GeboR is about how the energy is not balanced. The different parts of the project or relationship or situation are not all giving and receiving in equal measure, which can cause distress.

But this GeboR is off the mat. This means it is not the imbalance that is driving the situation; it is the subconscious fear of or hope for imbalance that is the energy behind the perspective.

We are amazingly powerful beings. And we decide the future. If we are focused on how unfair something could be, we are going to see the imbalance we expect.

Now, if that's what your hope is, if that's what works happiest for you, expect away. In your truth, one part or side  or person needs to be stronger;  another part needs more support. That is your truth and it is right for you!

But if this imbalance is a fear, perhaps it will help to change what you are looking for. What do you want to see in your situation, project, relationship? What kind of balance would you like to perceive?

By changing how you look at it, changing the expectation, you can see how you want the reality to be - and see how and where and when and what you can do you make it so.

GeboR off the mat - don't let the energy that is driving your situation be subconscious. You get to decide whether balance or imbalance is the best truth for your moment.

This week is less about growth and inspiration, and more about taking a good hard look at what's in front of us.

Whatever the situation, project, or relationship, before it can grow and prosper, it needs to be solid in its foundation.

Do all the pieces fit together so far? Is the logic logical? Do the facts check out? Is the outline, the premise, the foundation, the base, the canvas fully ready to move forward? Is it solid as it is?

This is the week to take a good, hard look at whatever is bringing the frustration, and ask yourself what is its truth?

Will the center hold?

Sometimes when we have to make choices, we feel like there is a dark and a light, a price to be paid, a sacrifice.

But the truth isn't that simple. The if/then statement :if I choose this now, I won't have it later, is a truth - but it does not include all the other truths of what you will have later.

Being aware of the fears of lack, of not having what we think we need in a crucial moment, can help us make choices now with a free heart.

Looking at the big picture, taking out the fear and bringing in trust in self based on past experience, what will bring you happiness - in this moment, and in the future?

What is possible?!

Who is your clan? To whom do you run when you need support? With whom do you celebrate? Who is first in your mind when the word "holidays" pops up?

Do you need more of them, right now? Do you need less? And are they really your people?

Without judgment, do you feel the support and celebration you desire when you're with them? And do you feel the urge to support and celebrate them in turn?

This is not about weeding out those who don't fit. Friends are friends are friends.

It is about knowing who your heart family is... Who you're willing to be yourself with. And what kind of time and energy you wish to exchange with them in the next little while.

The Blank, or Unknown, rune means that there is more information needed; more decisions to be made.

Maybe a project, or decision, or manifestation is stalled, feels mired. It's possible, more info is needed. There are still some questions that need answers.

Or maybe the outcome is waiting on someone else's choices.

So, if it feels like you can gather more info, go for it. Ask the questions.

And if it feels like you're just waiting, like you've done all you can, perhaps it needs action from outside of you. All there is to do is wait. It is frustrating, but you can only do what YOU can do.

Taiwaz is the rune of expediency, of making decisions in an unemotional, for the good of the whole fashion.

It follows, then, that TaiwazR is about taking a different approach to decision making.

If there is a thought or decision that brings the headache and the frustration and the "I don't know what to do!" perhaps it's time to decide smaller.

What is the right, truthful, happy choice for today?
What is the best feel for right now?
What is the short term beneficial option?

Because maybe the long term is still waiting for today's choice. Maybe choosing for happiness today is the best way to ALSO have happiness next year.

Capricorn 2014 - 2015

The rune for the coming month is no rune at all. 

If you're like me, it's a little difficult to swallow that.  It feels like we barely made it through the last moon cycle with our sanity intact.  And now you're telling me "You've got this?"  I need guidance!

But the universe says I've got all I need.  So, what do I have?

Well, I have all these gifts, all these dreams, all these foundations I have been creating.  Personally, I have some catch phrases, some new services, some identities.  I have a book ready for publishing.  I have a beautiful place to live - and some allergies and some new questions about the weather and my desire to tolerate it.  I have belief and determination.  I have some very strong opinions.  And I have a lot of practice under my belt.

I guess that's enough to build on.

Grudgingly,  the universe did gave one little nugget.  If I really need, if you really need, something to guide our thinking, to ground the whirlwind of thoughts and ideas, if you need a rope to grasp onto…

…think about the flow.  The flow from the past to the future.  The flow of the pack.

  Is it a flow you want?  Or a flow you don't?  Is it a connection you wish to maintain, or one to release?

Dear ones, the time of the individual is on the rise.  We are not fighting for our pack or our nation or even for humanity's continued existence as a race.  Humanity has definitely dominated the earth in numbers.  We are now working to each be our own unique block in the quilt, to accept ourselves so we can accept the differences of each other.  To be a better race, a race of quality. 

Find your individual quirks.  Revel in your personal passions.  Dream.  Practice.  And celebrate.

Life in Runes - Naihwaz

Asking for what you need.

Naihwaz is the rune of need - you will be given the tools you need to accomplish your tasks.

When people think of what we need, we tend to think small, the basics.  Two sticks to rub together, for fire.  A leaf to keep water off.  A blanket that can serve as coat or robe or night covering.  Just the basics.  Enough to survive.

Ladies and gentlemen, in this day and age, two sticks are neither effficient nor helpful.  What we need is a never ending box of light anywhere matches. Or a self fueled propane torch.  Perhaps a flame thrower.  We need the whole tree, not just one leaf.  But since we're talking about shelter, to keep the rain off and the heat out and the snow away, we rwally need a fully furnished house (or apartment or condo or vehicle) in excellent shape.  We need clothes for all occassions.

So, when you're thinking about what it is you need, think what you REALLY need.  Let's do more than make do.  Let's create.  Let's manifest drafting tables and computers, chainsaws and Sharpie pens, the enitre patio set and a dutch oven.  Let's bring in the houses and the vehicles and the clothes and the stone fireplace.  And remember to conjur the companions to share the labor and the joy.

What do you need?  Not just to get by, not just to survive.  but to thrive!
