I recently had the opportunity to do some readings, and I must say, I loved it!
So, to honor the Summer solstice and do more of what I love, I am having a Reading Special - 1 hour for $55.
If you're like me (and Colorado), it feels like it's taken this long just to pull yourself out of the winter of contemplation.So now is a great time to pause and ask a few questions:
Am I where I want to be?
What seeds have sprouted in my life's garden?
Which ones am I still waiting for?
Which dreams do I want to tend, and which am I ready to weed out?
Do I HAVE to think in plant metaphors?

As a Happiness Practitioner, the focus tends to be on what will be empowering for you; Self Care and Acceptance are also themes that often weave through the conversation.

What a year it has
been. So much to celebrate - endings and beginnings. So much growth and
transformation it's difficult to know whether to laugh or cry or hide under the
covers. And if you're like me, there is a lot of gratitude that the year has
ended - rather like being grateful for night fall, because you know the day is
finally done, and another has yet to begin.
But here we are at
the new year. The dark days of introspection and healing are winding down; the
lightening days of planning and looking forward are coming on.
This year, once
more, I wish us abundance. That all within our greatest and highest good comes
down; that everything we need appears; that all the positive and amazing
energies we put out into the world return to us threefold. That all of our
happiness grows as we find our footing and our foundations.
And this year I
would like to focus on something more -the abundant self.
We each are amazing
and creative beings. WE each have so much to give - and the more we are
ourselves, pure and strong and true, the more we can give from our heart and
the more we can receive and the more power we have over our reality. But it can
be difficult to find ourselves, to believe in self, to really know, in the
deepest part that we can hear, that to be myself is the best I can possibly do.
That that is the reason for my creation. That this being me is my greatest
gift. And you being you is your greatest gift.
So this year, the
gift I am spreading out into the world is that of stones - big stones, little
stones, beads, baubles, bangles. I scatter them for you to find. So that when
you are searching for a little more inspiration, a little outside knowledge
that you are enough, you will find a stone. One that sparkles, or flashes, or
washes up - and you will pick it up in your hand, and you will know, without
any doubt whatsoever, that you are not alone. That you have a connection to the
Divine, and through the divine, to all who love you. To all who cheer for you.
To all who believe in you. Including me.
And whenever you
need that extra mmmph, as we all do, the stone, my wish, and the belief of the
Universe, will be there for you.
I work in retail. That means, 'tis the season to work until you drop, smile that Up With People smile, and keep that brain working so you can remember what the sale for this [week, day, hour, insert fluctuating time measure here] is.
I have been practicing honoring my faith this year... saying my prayers every morning, being mindful of my words and actions and how they coincide with my beliefs, and, of course, celebrating the Holy Days.
And I have to tell you, the Holiday season is a bit of a struggle between Faith and Work. Because one of our high holy days is Yule (aka Solstice, MidWinter, the Shortest Day, the Longest Night.) For some it's even the beginning of the year. And there are BIG celebrations - in fact, every year, there is a drumming up of the sun at Red Rocks, here in Colorado.
The date for this joyous event - the return or birth of the sun - is on or around the 21st of December.
4 days before Christmas.
Smack dab in the middle of the most frantic shopping week in America.
Faith or Work? Work or Faith?
This year I actually chose Faith. I chose to take not one, but TWO whole days to celebrate my perspective of and connection with the natural cycles of the earth and the Universe. And oh! I had such a list of possibilities. To drum? To walk in nature? To meditate? To write and sing and dance and maybe attend a circle or two? And I could even clean a little; decorate a little; dress up a little!
And today, on the 18th, I'm not sure what I'm going to do.
Because today, I am simply grateful to have two days away. Two days without having to exercise patience and compassion and understanding. Two days of not trying to find a parking spot. Two days off my feet!!!
Yup, I am grateful to be a Pagan. And I will celebrate the Solstice happily.
If I wake up long enough to acknowledge what day it is.
I hope you are finding some good, celebrational rest and recovery time, too.
What an interesting
year 2016 has been, full of torrential transition and emotional extremes. If
you're like me, you're looking back and saying (possibly with sarcasm)
"That was awesome!"
More importantly,
you're looking forward and saying, with sincerity and desire, "How can 2017
be better?"
The answer is - In every possible
way.
I believe 2017 is
going to be better. Happier. More connected. More equal. More true. More
desires realized and more realities expanded.
And it is thanks to
you that I have such a bright future ahead of me. Each and every one of you has
been a part of my journey, and I would not be here without you to walk with,
sing with, strive with or against. You have helped me realize my happiness, and
I am grateful.
So my gift to you,
should you choose to receive it, is a wish, a prayer, a spell. A hope. A
dream. An energetic outpouring - of abundance, prosperity, riches.
Some of you may
receive cards, but frankly I have a habit of writing things and never sending
them, so we're going to do it differently this year.
If you're like me,
you occasionally find coins or other forms of currency abundance in random places - the parking lot, a river
bank, in the closet, in the car.
This year, at least
one of those finds is from me.
This year, I am
taking (have taken) my lucky cat bank, full coins and paper, and I am scattering the
treasure that is inside. Into water. Into the air. Into the earth. Even into
fire.
I am sending out
into the universe a symbolic gift of abundance. A prayer, wish, desire, spell,
intent that with every effort, every energy output, every interaction you put
into the universe... ...you receive back all you need, all you want, all YOU desire.
And so my dears,
after you find this gift, clutch it in your hand and receive the abundant possibilities. And then, spend it! As societally minor as the denomination is, use it
when you buy that book, those shoes, the groceries. Deposit it for the bills,
the rent, the vacation getaway. Let it represent all the awesomeness coming
your way to make your life easier, happier, healthier, more comfortable. Let it be for YOU.
We expend our energy
to make the world a better place, for each other and for our loved ones. So
please allow your world to be a better place for you.
